Outpatient Mental Health Services
At Butler Health System, we believe that families are the building blocks
of our community. We also know that today's families face more challenges
than ever. Our Outpatient Mental Health programs assist in overcoming
those challenges. Our core philosophy is that building on each individual's
and families unique strengths and fostering positive experiences will
result in more rewarding lives and a stronger, more vital community.

Outpatient Mental Health services at BHS connect our community individuals
and families with a range of supportive services and programs. Key counseling,
support and educational areas include:
Individual, Family and Group Counseling - We are proud to offer therapy services for individuals and families
from highly qualified professionals. Serving Children and adults.
Acute Children's Partial Hospitalization Program - This program is for school age children who have been identified as having
significant difficulties successfully integrating into community and school-based
activities. The focus is to improve the child’s social and emotional
functioning while meeting their mental health and educational needs. The
program is Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. Ages 6 – 18.
Children's Intensive Outpatient Program - This program is designed to aid children with mental health disorders in
their social and emotional development. Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 pm
– 7:30 pm, September – April. Children grades 1st – 6th.
Adolescent After School Program - This program provides family and community based treatment for adolescents
who have been identified as having significant difficulties successfully
integrating into the community, home and school based activities due to
poor social skills and a history of inappropriate behavior. The purpose
of ASAP 2 is to improve the adolescent’s social and emotional functioning.
Wednesdays 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm September – May. Adolescents
grades 7th – 12th.
Parent-Child Interactive Therapy - In this short-term course, parents learn new ways to interact with children
ages 2-7 with a focus on improving parent/child relationships and developing
improved communication skills.
Summer Therapeutic Activities Program - During this 5 week summer program, children with Disruptive Behavior
Disorders participate in courses designed to improve social, behavioral,
and emotional development. Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 3:00
pm. Ages 5 – 18.
