Newsweek's Best Maternity Hospital 2020-2022 - Butler Memorial Hospital was named to Newsweek’s 2022 list of
Best Maternity Care Hospitals. The distinction recognizes facilities that
have provided exceptional care to mothers, newborns and their families,
as verified by the 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Survey. Best Maternity Care
Hospitals is part of Newsweek’s Best Health Care series, powered
by data from The Leapfrog Group. Best Maternity Care Hospitals were first
designated in 2020.

Straight "A" Rating for Butler Memorial Hospital Safety 2017-2022 - The
Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital rating focused exclusively on hospital safety. Its
A, B, C, D or F letter grades are a quick way for consumers to choose
the safest hospital to seek care.

Leapfrog Group Top Hospital 2021 - Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety
and quality, Butler Memorial Hospital was named a Top General Hospital
nationally by The Leapfrog Group. The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely
acknowledged as one of the most competitive awards American hospitals
can receive.

American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation - Butler Health System ensures that patients who arrive at the hospital
complaining of chest pain or other symptoms of a heart attack receive
the treatment necessary during the critical window of time when the integrity
of the heart muscle can be preserved. BHS has enhanced the quality of
care for the ACS patient and has demonstrated its commitment to higher
standards.

National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR*) Action Registry Platinum
Performance Achievement Award - Butler Health System has demonstrated sustained achievement in the ACTION
Registry for eight consecutive quarters and has performed at the top level
of standards for specific performance measures. Full participation in
the registry engages hospitals in a robust quality improvement process
using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations
and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients.

Primary Stroke Certification - HFAP is a nationally recognized not-for-profit accreditation organization
with deeming authority from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
This designation recognizes the hospital’s commitment to excellence
in the care, stabilization and treatment of stroke patients.

Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll Award - We’re proud to be recognized by the American Heart Association

2 Diabetes Honor Roll, a program designed to help hospitals make sure
patients get the benefits of the latest scientific guidelines-based treatment.

PA Department of Health Stroke Center Designation - The Stroke Center designation from the PA DOH promotes a culture of
excellence at the hospital and gives the community we serve confidence
in the quality of stroke care received at our facility.

UPMC Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgery Center of Excellence - UPMC has recognized Butler Health System for our low complication rates,
recognized that BHS facilities and orthopedic surgeons demonstrate high-quality
outcomes, and optimal patient experience for UPMC Health Plan members.

Lung Cancer Screening Center Designation - Butler Health System has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center
by the American College of Radiology.

Chest Pain Center Accreditation - Butler Health System has been named a Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous
Coronary Intervention) from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
(SCPC). This program has received a three-year accreditation and is subject
to an ongoing process of performance improvement.

BHS and Wellbe Awarded HHS Grant for Diabetes Self Management - The United States Department of Health and Human Services has awarded
a $200,000 grant to Butler Health System and Madison, WI based-Wellbe
as part of the Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grant Program to support
diabetes self-management using online patient engagement. The project
will serve rural areas of Butler, Clarion, Lawrence, and Venango counties
with an innovative diabetes support and education system coordinated by
Butler Health System and in partnership with BHS Clarion Hospital and
Seneca Medical Center.

American Heart Association Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award - Butler Health System has received the American Heart Association/American
Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines Stroke Plus Quality Achievement
Award with Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite. This award recognized the hospital's
commitment and success ensuring that stroke patients receive the most
appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based
guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence. To receive this award,
hospitals must achieve 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines
Stroke achievement indicators for two or more consecutive 12 month periods
and achieved 75% or higher compliance with 5 of 8 Get With The Guidelines
Stroke Quality measures.

American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Healthcare Facilities Accreditation
Program (HFAP) - This award represents the outstanding quality care of osteopathic medical
doctors (DO) and osteopathic medical students at BHS Clarion Hospital.
This award is recognized nationally by the federal government and state
governments.
