
Erica Shaffer joined Excela Health in 2011, bringing more than 20 years of extensive professional background in operations and business development. Shaffer has developed a passion for home care and hospice patients within the community, focusing on the impact to patients as they transition from acute-care to the post-acute setting. Along with her team, she is dedicated to improving quality outcomes, enhancing the patient experience, and building collaborative relationships within the healthcare community. A native of Westmoreland County, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from West Virginia University, and her Master’s in Business Administration from Seton Hill University. Shaffer serves on the boards of the American Red Cross and American Healthcare Executives. She and her husband, Joe, make their home in Bullskin Township, Fayette County, with their son.
