Butler Health System adds two new BHS Foundation Board Members

Jud Stewart has recently been appointed to the BHS Foundation Board. Mr. Stewart retired from the

Armstrong Group in July, 2020 after 41 years of service. Armstrong Group, a privately held, diversified

corporation headquartered in Butler, Pennsylvania, is a leader in the telecommunications, Electronic

Manufacturing, Security, HVAC and Commercial Real Estate industries. Mr. Stewart spent his entire

career at Armstrong starting in the cable division, where he was Vice President of Marketing and

Programming for over 35 years. In 2016, he moved to a new role engaging in marketing and strategic

thinking for the entire Armstrong Group of Companies, including Guardian Protection Services,

Armstrong Comfort Solutions, Armstrong Development Properties, 4 Front Solutions and Armstrong

Foods.

Mr. Stewart is currently serving on the board of the Landmarks Financial Corporation, part of the

Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation. He is also the Chairman of the Sedwick Charitable

Foundation.

Mr. Stewart and his wife, Michelle, live in Butler and have two grown children, both currently residing in

Pittsburgh.

April Stilley, MPA, PA-C completed her undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University in

Psychology and then went on to obtain her master’s degree from Duquesne University, Physician

Assistant program. Following graduation, she worked as a Physician’s Assistant for Pittsburgh

Gynecologic Oncology, Allegheny General Hospital Neurosurgery, and UPMC Physical Medicine and

Rehab. During this time she gained valuable experience in evaluating and treating patients in a surgical

clinical setting.

In January of 2012 April Stilley, MPA, PA-C became an Instructor for her Alma Mater, Duquesne

University, in the Physician Assistant (PA) Studies department where she instructed undergraduate and

graduate students. She developed the instructional plans for assigned courses and ensured

departmental standards and requirements were met. This included coordinating lectures, labs,

examinations and clinical rotations.

While attending The Pennsylvania State University April Stilley, MPA, PA-C was committed to helping

others through the PSU Project Outreach, Easter Seals, and was involved in the National Honor Society.

April Stilley, MPA, PA-C currently resides in Butler County with her husband and three children.
