Independence Health System Welcomes New Physician to Butler Family Medicine

Butler, PA April 15, 2024 … Independence Health System welcomes Lela, Dougherty, MD, to Butler Family Medicine at 116 Woody Drive, Butler.

Dr. Lela Dougherty is board-certified in family and lifestyle medicine, with more than a decade of experience in providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. Dr. Dougherty has a particular interest in lifestyle medicine, an evidence-based approach shown to prevent and treat chronic conditions. She received her medical degree from the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University and completed a family medicine residency at UPMC St. Margaret. Dr. Dougherty is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
