Big Move for new MRI Unit

A new MRI Unit was moved into the hospital on May 22.
The project began in March when a hole was cut into the side of the building to remove the old unit.
Renovations were completed in the space and the new unit was moved in the same way. After training and calibration, the new unit will be ready for patients the week of June 12.
This new machine has a larger bore and will enable those with claustrophobia or larger patients access to this technology.
The machine can also be used for patients who need brain imaging or patients who suffer from strokes, Multiple Sclerosis and brain tumors.
