Caring Staff

I developed a sudden and substantial infection following a dog bite. Everyone from the ER to the OR were kind and caring. Dietary staff was so sweet, taking time to help open packages and such that I couldn’t do with restricted hand mobility. Housekeeping was quick to clean up some blood and prove we linens, and even just to chat while working, distracting me and providing much needed conversation (a you do lady with purple hair). The entire care team on 6Main was great, but I especially want to recognize nurse Sam, who was so very sweet and compassionate during the painful first round of unpacking and repacking my wound. Nurse April got the second turn, and was also so gentle. Everyone was totally professional and wonderful, but these two ladies really added that personal caring touch even though they were extremely busy. Thank you for taking such good care of me!
