New Physician Joins BHS Heart Team

Butler Health System is pleased to announce the addition of Avinash Linganna, MD to the BHS Heart Team. Dr. Linganna is a highly skilled cardiologist with over 16 years of clinical experience specializing in non-invasive cardiology, with a particular interest in cardiac imaging and lifestyle medicine, an evidence-based approach shown to prevent and treat disease. His goal is to use these methodologies in order to reduce medications, prevent procedures, and improve the quality of life for his patients. Dr. Linganna will be accepting patients at our Butler and Ellwood City locations.

Dr. Linganna received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Presbyterian Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.

Dr. Linganna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to BHS which includes his recent experience as Co-Director of UPMC Cardiac Rehabilitation in White Oak, PA and is certified in "Plant-Based Nutrition" from Cornell University.
