New Family Practice Physicians Join BHS

Butler Health System Primary Care is pleased to announce the following additions:

Jerome E. Scherer, DO, FAAFP, CMD has joined BHS Primary Care as of July 1, 2019. He earned his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV and his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, WV. He completed his internship at Botsford General Hospital, and completed his Family Practice residency at UPMC Shadyside Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Scherer is Board Certified in Family Practice and Geriatrics. He will be seeing patients at 1158 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, PA 16059 and at 116 Woody Drive, Butler, PA 16001.

Scott Matthew Nellis, DO will join BHS Primary Care as of August 1, 2019. He earned his
undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA and his medical degree
from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Greensburg, PA. He completed his Family
Practice residency at Excela Health Family Medicine, Latrobe, PA. Dr. Nellis is American Board
of Family Medicine Eligible. He will be seeing patients at 217 East Main Street, Evans City, PA
16033.
