Palliative Care Physician Invited to be Keynote Speaker at Penn State Medical School

BHS Physician and Director of Palliative Care, Kathy Selvaggi MS MD FAAHPM was recently invited to be the Keynote Speaker for the Driskill Lecture in Palliative Care at the Penn State College of Medicine. The Driskill Lectureship was established in 1990 to enable experts in the field of palliative care to present an annual lecture at the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine. Previous speakers have included Drs. Derek Doyle, Dame Cicely Saunders, Catherine Foley, Balfour Mount, Diane Meier and James Tulsky. Dr. Selvaggi’s lecture entitled “We Are Building It…and They are Coming” was a presentation on the development of a community palliative care program for the Butler Health System.
