REVISED CONTENT! - based on the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (ADCES) curriculum titled ADCES7 Self-Care Behaviors for people with diabetes. This 4 week series is taught by a team of health educators. You will learn the 7 behaviors to help manage diabetes; reducing risk, monitoring, taking medication, healthy eating, being active, healthy coping and problem solving.
- Week 1 Topics: What is Diabetes, Know Your Numbers, Reducing Risk
- Week 2 Topics: Monitoring, Taking Medication, Being Active
- Week 3 Topics: Healthy Eating, Carbohydrate Counting
- Week 4 Topics: Problem Solving, Healthy Coping
Video on Demand Series with Virtual Support Group - the Diabetes Lifestyle Coaching 4 weekly videos will be sent via email to view at your leisure and 2 virtual support groups will be available to discuss content and ask questions.
- July 1 - This series includes the 4 weekly videos and two support groups on July 6 and 13
- November 1 - This series includes the 4 weekly videos and two support groups on November 7 and 14
Virtual series - by selecting the first enrollment date, you are automatically enrolled in all remaining classes. You may also choose individual classes.
