Virtual Visits with your medical provider during COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, BHS is responding by temporarily limiting outpatient appointments
at physician offices. During this time, you will still be able to receive
expert care from your doctor by scheduling a virtual appointment. This
is a great way to receive medical care and talk with your physician without
having to leave the comfort of your home.
How do I join a virtual appointment with my physician?
You will need a digital device that has a camera and microphone, such
as a smart phone (iPhone or Android), tablet or laptop that contains a
camera and a microphone.
In order for you to access your virtual appointment with your provider,
you will need to do one of the following:
If you will be using a laptop, you will need a computer embedded with
a camera and a microphone.
• Prior to your appointment you will receive an email with further
instructions and a link to click and join your virtual appointment.
• On mobile and PC, go to
https://zoom.us/test to test your speakers and microphone and join your virtual appointment.
If you will be using a smart phone (iPhone or Android), you will need
to download an app to access your virtual appointment with your provider.
Make sure you install the appropriate app to you phone/device at the time
of scheduling your virtual appointment.

• It may prompt you to enter a password before downloading, this
will be the password you use to download apps. Once the app is downloaded,
it is not necessary to create an account.
• At the time of your scheduled appointment, go to your email and
click on the link sent to you to join your virtual appointment.
