No appointment is necessary. Just walk in whenever FasterCare is open.
Is there a physician on site?
Yes. A board-certified physician is always on site at every FasterCare location.
What conditions do you treat?
Virtually any minor illness or injury can be treated at FasterCare.
What happens if my condition is more serious than what you can treat?
Major emergencies are transferred to the nearest Emergency Room or the
Emergency Room of the patient's choice.
Do I have to utilize a Butler Health System physician for any follow-up
care that might be necessary?
No. With your permission, a detailed report of your FasterCare visit will
be provided to your primary care physician to facilitate the most effective
follow-up care. If you don't have a primary care physician, we’ll
provide you with a list of physicians in your area who are accepting new patients.
What types of health insurance do you accept?
FasterCare accepts most types of health insurance, including UPMC and
Highmark plans. For a complete list of Insurance Coverage Accepted, visit the
payment options page.
Is there a co-pay required?
Most health insurance plans require you to make a nominal "urgent
care” or “specialist” co-payment for urgent care services.
For plans that do not offer these options, FasterCare accepts “office
visit” co-pays. Any insurance co-payments due are payable at the
time of service.
What if I don't have health insurance?
For patients without health insurance, FasterCare offers a flat-fee self-pay
option of $115, payable at the time of service. The self-pay option covers
any tests (including X-rays) or treatment received at FasterCare. If additional
tests are required through a hospital or other facility, you will be billed
directly from that facility.
