The Crystal Ball was held annually in March. Past events have helped to purchase various equipment for the Women’s Imaging Center and the Operating Room. Proceeds have also supported several programs and services at Butler Memorial Hospital, including the development of a Palliative Care Program.
The event included a cocktail hour, auctions, dinner, dancing and other theme related fundraisers. The Women of Legacy award was presented at the event. The award honored those who notably contributed to the health and well-being of the local community through excellence in patient care, overcoming personal illness or crisis, or improving some aspect of the community’s health.
The last Crystal Ball “Rustic Elegance” was held on March 7, 2020 at the Double Tree by Hilton Pittsburgh/Cranberry. There were 400 guests in attendance, and over $150,000 was raised to support the purchase of an Automated Breast Ultrasound Unit for the Women’s Imaging Center.
