Join Our Volunteer Team at Butler Health System
There are many ways to partner with the team at Butler Health System (BHS)
by volunteering. We are proud of our work and our team of excellent, caring,
and compassionate volunteers who make it possible. Thank you for your
interest in giving back to the community.
Committed to service, the BHS Auxiliary and Junior Auxiliary donate more
than 30,000 hours of service annually. The BHS Auxiliary supports patient care by donating thousands of hours
of volunteer service to the health system and provides financial support
with the proceeds earned from a variety of special sales and events. The
Candy Striper program offers high school students the opportunity to volunteer
in a healthcare setting.

Candy Stripers (Junior Auxiliary)
Young men and women who are at least 14 years old and in ninth through
twelfth grade are given the opportunity to learn about the many different
departments in the hospital and obtain exposure to its internal workings.
The Candy Striper experience can also provide opportunities for setting
goals and planning for a future career.
One of the goals of the program is to help create self-worth and experience
personal satisfaction as these young men and women give their time and
talents in service to others.
