Complete Decongestive Therapy.
Complete Decongestive Therapy is a method of treating Lymphedema that involves daily drainage and bandaging through a special massage technique called Manual Lymph Drainage. This technique moves fluid to parts of the body with healthy lymph vessels that can absorb and process the fluid through the veins. When swelling has decreased, patients are fitted with custom garments to begin the maintenance phase of treatment. The garments are worn through the day to prevent swelling.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses gentle, rhythmic pumping techniques to stimulate lymph flow. This treatment helps to control lymphedema and swelling.
Specialized Compression Dressing
Compression dressing is a treatment in which areas affected by lymphedema are wrapped in bandages to increase circulation and stimulate fluid movement.
Specialized Compression Management Pumps
Specialized compression management pumps are medical devices that help stimulate blood and fluid movement to treat ulcers or lymphedema.
