Butler Health System, Highmark Reach Agreement on Contract
June 30, 2009 — (BUTLER, PA) — Butler Health System and Highmark have reached a verbal agreement on a new contract.
The new contract was agreed upon today and will go into effect July 1. The contract will extend for four years through June 30, 2013. The two organizations are working out final details of the new agreement.

“Butler Memorial Hospital plays an important role in the delivery of health care in Butler County,” said Deborah Rice, Highmark’s Executive Vice President of Health Services. “The new agreement assures that the hospital will continue to be a network hospital for Highmark members and demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to continuing our long-standing relationship.”
