BHS Crystal Ball Raises Highest Amount Ever
May 11, 2009 — (BUTLER, PA) — Butler Health System Foundation's eighth annual Crystal Ball raised more than $121,000 — the most the event has ever raised.
The Foundation's annual black tie affair, held March 29, surpassed last year's profit by more than $4,000 and has grown in net revenue since its inception by 60%.
In addition, the 2009 Crystal Ball was the first to ever sell out, attracting more than 460 attendees to the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Twp.
The Women of Legacy Award was presented to Carol Dietrich of Butler, former Chief Operating Officer of Butler Health System. Dietrich was instrumental in the creation of numerous community programs at the hospital including the Maternal Service program for prenatal care for uninsured women, the Family First Resource Center and the hospital's nationally-acclaimed Community Health Assessment process.
The proceeds from the BHS Crystal Ball will fund equipment for Cancer Care at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The 2010 Crystal Ball will be held March 20, 2010.
