BHS named “Healthcare Marketer of the Year” for Second Year in a Row

The Butler Health System Public Relations and Marketing departments, along with their agency partner Fitting Group of Pittsburgh, were named “Marketer of the Year” for the Medical and Healthcare category by the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Marketing Association for their Heart & Vascular campaign. The designation was announced at an awards luncheon held in Pittsburgh in December.

This is the second year that BHS has been named “Marketer of the Year” in the Medical/Healthcare category – last year for their Back and Neck campaign, and this year for their Heart & Vascular campaign.

The Marketer of the Year competition, Pittsburgh’s only results-based marketing competition, is open to any company, agency, not-for-profit, individual or government organization that developed, implemented and sufficiently completed a marketing program in western Pennsylvania in 2009.

Entries are judged by a panel of respected marketing leaders in academia and business from the Pittsburgh region.

“We are thrilled to be named ‘Marketer of the Year’,” said John Righetti, Vice President, Strategic Relationship Management. “This recognizes both our creative efforts and the outcomes of our marketing efforts. It recognizes that our marketing works.”

The AMA Pittsburgh chapter honors local and legendary brands, marketers and others who have made unique and impressive impact in marketing throughout western Pennsylvania and often throughout the world.
