Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center Serves 10,000th Patient
January 18, 2008 - (BUTLER, PA) - Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center has just seen its 10,000th patient.
Today, Randy Zortman of Gibsonia became the 10,000th new patient at the Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center housed in the Benbrook Medical Center at 102 Technology Drive and Benbrook Road in Butler Twp.
The Center is a unique partnership between 11 physicians and Butler Memorial Hospital, and was opened in March of 2006.
"We're really excited that the venture has become such an incredible success," said Dr. Keith Welker, Medical Director. We never dreamed we would be seeing our 10,000th patient so soon."
The Center reached its 10,000th patient months ahead of schedule.
"The success of the Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center is the result of a sound partnership between physicians and Butler Health System," said Ken DeFurio, president and CEO of Butler Health System. "It's a demonstration of what can happen when individuals focused on what is the best way to deliver care come together."
The Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center provides outpatient surgical procedures including eye, ear, nose, throat, gastrointestinal, podiatric, urologic, orthopedic, plastic, pain management and general surgery procedures.
