BHS Announces Two New Board of Trustee Members

May 8, 2007 - (BUTLER, PA) - The Board of Trustees for Butler Health System recently appointed two new members to the board – Douglas K. McClaine and Fiore C. Londino.

“We are pleased to add additional expertise to our board. The knowledge that these two members bring to the table will be invaluable as we prepare to embark on the largest construction project our community hospital has undergone,” says William A. Bessor, Chairman of the BHS Board of Trustees. “Both of these gentlemen have impressive credentials and join a very dedicated board that is committed to building the best facility to provide care for generations to come.”

McClaine, who also serves on the Compensation Committee of BHS, began his law career with Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) in 1984 as a patent attorney. He became assistant general counsel and corporate ethics officer in 1990, and was appointed general counsel in 2002. He was elected vice president in 2005. McClaine holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Administration and Management Science from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a JD from the Dickinson School of Law. He is licensed to practice within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of several bar associations and professional organizations.

McClaine was born in Butler, Pa. He and his wife, Carolyn R. McClaine reside in Valencia, Pa.

Fiore C. Londino is an organization development consultant with more than 25 years of experience. His operational and executive management experience includes global management and five years of consulting in a wide variety of industries. He has experience in succession planning, has coached numerous boards of directors on effective governance and led global recruitment strategies with extensive international work experience. He is a partner in Pareto Consulting and previously served as vice-president of strategy and core human resource processes with Marconi and it’s predecessor, FORE Systems.

Londino resides in Allison Park with his wife, Maureen. In the past seven years he has traveled to Uganda, Ethiopia, India and Nicaragua for mission work. He participates in Community Care Day to provide home repairs for people in need. He has been a member of the compensation committee with Butler Health System since 2004, has served as President of the Board of Trustees for City Charter High School (part of Pittsburgh Public Schools) since 2001, has been President of the Board of Trustees for the Network of Hope since its inception in 2001 and a was a board member (treasurer and secretary) of Allison Park Church from 1995-2007.
