BMH Welcomes Two New Physicians
January 10, 2007 - (BUTLER, PA) - Two new physicians were recently approved for admission to the medical staff at Butler Memorial Hospital. They are Dr. Christine Evankovich-Edwards and Dr. Lawrence Han.
A surgeon, Dr. Christine Evankovich-Edwards expanded ABC Surgical to a new office in Butler located at 1651 N. Main Street. The other location is in Kittanning. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. and a medical doctor degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Ala. In addition, Evankovich completed her internship and residency at the University of South Alabama Hospitals and Clinics in Mobile, Ala. Dr. Evankovich-Edwards previously worked for Butler Surgical Associates with Dr. Victor Nieto from 2001 to 2003. She can be reached in Butler at 724-285-4965.
A podiatrist, Dr. Lawrence Han joins Dr. Michaele Crawford with offices located at 901 E. Brady Street in Butler and in Monroeville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa,, and a doctor of podiatric medicine and surgery degree from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He served residencies in podiatric medicine at Pacific Coast Hospital in San Francisco, Black Hills Health Care System in South Dakota and Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, Ariz. He previously worked at the VA Medical Center in Butler and at the Academy of Podiatry in Delmont, Pa. He can be reached in Butler at 724-282-0900.
