BMH Welcomes Several New Physicians
December 7, 2006 - (BUTLER, PA) - Several new physicians were recently approved for admission to the medical staff at Butler Memorial Hospital. These include Drs. Victoria Young, Richard Filiaggi and Joshua Szabo.
Dr. Victoria Young has joined Advanced OB/GYN Associates with offices in Butler, Cranberry Township and Saxonburg. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. and her medical degree from James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology with the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, where she also served as a co-administrative chief resident. Dr. Richard Filiaggi has joined Butler Pediatrics. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. and his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. He served an internship at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital and then entered the United States Naval Flight Surgery Program where he was a Lieutenant and flight surgeon. He served as the sports team doctor for Steel Valley High School and then entered a
pediatric residency program at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He also completed a pediatric musculoskeletal fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. He can be reached at 724-283-4460.
Dr. Joshua Szabo has joined Tri-Rivers Surgical Associates with offices in Butler and Pittsburgh. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Denver in Denver, Colo. He earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia where he served a general surgery internship. He also served an orthopaedic surgery residency with Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and did a fellowship with the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Miss.
