BMH Caring Angel Program Raises $2,000 at Celebrity Wait(BUTLER, PA) -- Butler Memorial Hospital, in conjunction with presenting sponsor Northwood Realty, hosted a Celebrity Wait at the Texas Roadhouse in the Clearview Mall in Butler on Dec. 7. Matt Clement, 2004 Chicago Cubs pitcher, was on hand with several local celebrities to wait tables that evening. The event raised almost $2,000 in proceeds for Butler Memorial Hospital's Caring Angel Program in support of the youth of Butler County.
Other local celebrities rolling up their sleeves to serve diners that evening included Butler County Commissioners Scott Lowe and Jim Kennedy; Larry Berg and Dr. Ed Fink along with area teachers. Caring Angel halo sponsor this year is AK Steel Foundation.
Several servers volunteered to donate their tips that evening to the Caring Angel drive. A total of $1,000 in tips and a corporate donation from Texas Roadhouse was collected and another $984 was raised selling raffle tickets for a jersey and autographed baseballs.
