Dear Runners and Walkers,

The 35th Annual Butler Road Race, presented by Butler Health System produced a few milestones.  A commemorative ChampionChip timing device was used. The 25,000th finisher in the history of the race crossed the line. Two 16 year olds won the 5 mile event. The youngest combination to date! Over 50 (11years of age and under) participated. Our largest group since we started recognizing that category. And Lou Lodovico smashed the American record for 86 year olds, establishing his 4th National Record on our course. Due to the fact that ChampionChip timing results are instantaneous, and our merchandise prizes were drawn in advance, permitted us to present the 130 competitive awards shortly after the race, enabling families to get on with their day. And a beautiful sunny day it was.

On behalf of Butler Road Race Inc., and Butler Health System, I thank everyone who attended, sponsored, or volunteered for this year's event. And we look forward to your return on June 25, 2011, as we continue our "Scholarships For Kids" program.
